This Privacy Policy explains how Won J You Studios ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you visit the Portfolio Lab website, join the waitlist, or complete the readiness assessment. By using this site, you agree to the practices described below.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

• Waitlist details: your first name, last name, and email address when you join the waitlist.
• Assessment responses: the answers you provide in the readiness assessment, including your career stage, portfolio status, the number of projects you have, your availability, and the portfolio URL you choose to share.
• Correspondence: anything you send us directly, for example when you email us or book a call.

Information collected automatically

• Technical data: your browser type and user agent, the referring page, and your IP address, recorded when you submit a form so we can prevent abuse and understand where sign-ups come from.
• Cookies and local storage: we store your cookie preferences and waitlist details in your browser. See Cookies and tracking below.

2. How we use your information

• To add you to the Portfolio Lab waitlist and contact you when a cohort opens.
• To review your assessment responses and let you know whether the program is a fit for where you are.
• To respond to your questions and schedule calls or mentorship sessions.
• To operate, secure, and improve the website.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

3. Cookies and tracking

When you first visit, a banner lets you choose which cookies you allow. We use three categories:

• Essential — required for the site to function and to remember your choices. Always on.
• Analytics — anonymous usage data that helps us improve the site. Optional.
• Marketing — helps us understand which channels send visitors here. Optional.

Your preference is saved in your browser, and you can change it at any time by clearing your browser's site data, after which the banner will appear again.

4. How we store your information

Form submissions are stored in a database hosted by Supabase, and notification emails are sent through Resend. The website is hosted on Vercel. These providers process your data on our behalf so we can run the waitlist and assessment.

5. Third-party services

We rely on the following providers, each with its own privacy practices:

• Supabase — database hosting for waitlist and assessment records.
• Resend — transactional email delivery.
• Vercel — website hosting and serverless functions.
• Calendly — scheduling intro calls and mentorship sessions, if you choose to book one.
• The free AI portfolio review tool — a separate tool we link to; using it is subject to its own terms and privacy policy.

6. Data retention

We keep your waitlist and assessment information for as long as needed to run the program and stay in touch with you about it. You can ask us to delete it at any time (see your rights below).

7. Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop contacting you. To make a request, email won@wjystudios.com and we'll respond within a reasonable time.

8. Children's privacy

Portfolio Lab is intended for working and aspiring design professionals. It is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes will be communicated where appropriate.
